Vinny Golia / Nels Cline – The Entire Time

LA improvisers Cline and Golia team up for a series of duets. The disc has a mostly subdued feel to it, featuring Golia on flute and Nels on acoustic for many of the pieces. The notable exception is the last track, featuring plenty of electronics.

1. Eastern flute with guitar rumbling, switch to clarinet and guitar interplay, then slow and mysterious
2. Mellow acoustic and flute
3. Bright flute led improv
4. Melancholy whistle
5. Jumpy sax and acoustic
*6. Roland Kirk style multi reed improv & electronics
*7. Dissonant Eastern feeling slow improv
8. Speedy runs with acoustic and soprano, mellows as it goes on.
*9. Starts with spacey electronics, moves to jumpy clarinet/guitar improv
