Straightforward jazz: Modern bop with some complex composing and some mellow moments. The octet format makes for a rich brew, often with a couple of guys doing quiet "comping" solos behind the main solo. Good, accessible stuff.
1- Fast and percolating
2- Peaceful piano blip
3- Mellow, loungy, mid/fast
4- Happy, kind of slick, mid/fast
5- Mid/fast jam with some furious moments and long solos
6- Soft. Starts slow but gets cooking
7- Hip, cool stepping, mid/fast with cool-splash vibes and flute
