Sometimes you just cant beat a simple melodic song sung with primarily acoustic guitar accompaniment in a lilting sometimes breathy always beautiful female voice in the spirit of Nick Drake, Cat Power, Isobel Cambell (Belle and Sebastian). Heres your ticket. Mind you, though the guitar is leading the music is lush with upright bass, brushed drums, Hammond organs, piano. In a world where Nick Drake copycats get tiresome this certainly will scratch the itch that Nick’s absence left. Beautiful stuff, New York based singer songwriter.

1) breathy, simple sweet with upright bass
2) more poppy upbeat, still chill, some Drake’ish soaring melodies
3) waltzing and pretty, nice
4) another Drake’ish tune, almost too much
5) swingy lounge jazzy feel, cute
6) slower somber, big brushed drum and glissando bass
7) another slow somber one
8) another minor somber one, this stuff is starting to remind me of Aimee Mann
9) jazzy upbeat, disease references
10) slow swing, bitter, piano led
11) more of a pensive feel, cool upright bass tone up front with drums only
12) simple argeggio guitar, melodic in a pretty epic classic sense, did I say pretty?
