Paul Rutherford Trio – Gheim
A rerelease of an early 80s Rutherford concert with an added bonus of some studio recordings from the same vintage. Rutherford is in fine form, and this disc is one of the more accessible records of his in our library.
**1. Active trombone over insistent, driving bass & drums to start, gets quieter for a bass solo about 10 min in, picks up again
*2. Quiet start, gradually builds into a sort of march, then fades and ends w/ ~1 min of silence
3. Busy, insistent improv
4. Skittery, clattery start builds to more of a jumble
**5. Bouncy free improv, fades out at end
