Chamber jazz led by a quiet electric bass. Includes soothing sounds of flute and vibes but also rocks out here and there.
TRACKS 1-23: Short pieces, one to three minutes long, mostly with a studious chamber air but a relaxed and even humorous mood. Each miniature has something to do with the number 17 -- seventeen measures, or a 17-note theme, or whatever.
Fast: chase scenes -- 5, 10, 14, 20, 22
Slow and/or quiet -- 1, 3, 6, 7, 11, 23
2- Midtempo, busy chugging
8- Burbling bass exercises
9- Slow tones over quivering violin bed
17- Eerie, an air of mystery
18- Dissonant bass guitar rockin'
21- Jazzy plucking, cute
