A standout release from Warp Records. NY duo Home Video haunt and hypnotize with icy atmospheres, fragile vocals and a masterfully steady electronic/alt-rock balance. Guitar finds an unexpected home in dark electro soundscapes in this eerie, playful and beautiful record.
Play all, especially: 5, 1, 2, 3
No FCCs.
**1. Monotone vocals, distorted drum, steady build -- brilliant.
**2. Pretty melody, nice pace -- a lovely tech-lullaby.
*3. A nice soundwash, the perfect soundbed or interlude.
*4. Sweet dark circus, dissonant contrast between harmonies and churning drumlines.
**5. Hypnotic and twisted, a thumping heartbeat meets New Order. Wow!
