Babyland used to be LOUD. ROCK. Now, they’ve gone industro-electro-pop. It’s a bit dated sounding – harder than 80s New Wave but sounding not quite modern alongside the harsher sounds of today – Adult. and the like. Compare with Nitzer Ebb and such.

1. Jump around all jerky and yell slogans over thin synths. That’s it.
2. A bit thunkier bassline makes this better
3. Hyper
4. Bouncy
5. Funky piano line; the vox are a bit too … too … insistent
6. Pounding and noisy in the service of … ?
7. Routine yelling over mechano-beat
8. But when they try to sing and go melodic, it’s a debacle
9. See track 9 above
10. Muscular and burbly
11. Poppy and semi-melodic
12. Oh, is there a need for an electro-pop power ballad? No, no, NO! I give it “The Finger”.
