Catchy, stripped-down dance. Mellow, bleepy at times, soft vocals, and absolutely killer drum programming. One British magazine calls it “electro-pop,” which is true, but keep in mind their definition of pop is always as a subset of dance music. And I’d call it more melancholic than poppy. Some R&B flavors creep in with the stuttering drum beats… a beautifully produced record that never tries to do too much. Bonus disc with 4 remixes.
Best tracks (all on Disc 1): 3, 6, 9

Disc 1:
Track 1: House with a square synth bassline, some wobbling chords in the background, and vox.
Track 2: Mellow and sparse house beats driven by a nice vocal.
Track 3: SO COOL! Gorgeous with one of those mellow-yet-hyperactive breakbeats that you normally find in a R&B track. Not that I’m normally a fan of R&B, but if this song had a video, it would have Janet Jackson getting it on with someone in her apartment. Make sense? Oh well, just PLAY!
Track 4: More complex breakbeats and sparse synths ringing behind a quiet vocal.
Track 5: Blah. A short interlude that just fills space.
Track 6: Another GREAT song; I think one of the singles (if not, it should be). Fun and slightly whimsical about someone forgetting the singer’s birthday. Slips back and forth between house and breaks.
Track 7: Most aggressive song on the album, but by no means bangin’. Driving and simple house beat with a spacey guitar riff; sunrise music. Excellent!
Track 8: Droning chillout fodder. Not one of my favorites.
Track 9: More ambient with a sweeping synth melody and a bit of a rolling beat in the background.
Track 10: INCREDIBLE tune!! Along with #3, the best on the album. Broken beats on ice. Super catchy melodic hooks. Vocals too.

Disc 2:
Track 1: Very minimal and underwhelming remix of “Birthday” (Track 6 on Disc 1)
Track 2: Beatless remix of “Last Exit;” gets dramatic near the end
Track 3: Remix of “Birthday;” close to the original, just more glitchy.
Track 4: Atmospheric soundscape.
