Pronounced Kay-a-LEE-ee Rye-SHELL. I thought the music in Hawaiian much better than the music in English (save yourself the pain of listening to track 4 – a Sting cover). It’s not bad, it’s just not great and definitely not for purists. It’s a bit slick and the English tracks are really not worth it. 1. Cheesy spoken word intro. Flute, female chant of genealogy. *2. Very cool chant/drum blend. Great sound, wonderfully done. 3. Sweet, delicate song of home. Rather pretty, really. 4. Fields of Gold. Slow & basically soulless. *5. Guitar/vocals in a sweet, lively Hawaiian classic. 6. Slow, sad and kinda smarmy. 7. Slow & folksy blend of vocals/guitar. *8. Uptempo w/some good guitar work. 9. A slow love song. 10. Another slow track/ with a sense of sadness. 11. Midtempo,. Guitar/chorus, lyrical. 12. Slow folk rock w/a big chorus finish. Um, no. *13. Drum & chanting. Why isn’t there more of this? 14. Overdone remix of #3. The original is better. 15. Slow song of goodbye. |
