They ain’t jokin’ - this CD is LOUD! Lots of heavy (not metal, per se) rockin’ hugeness from a Michigan trio. Their songs have a lot of ‘oomph’, HUGE sounding guitars, drums & a bit of bass. The chorus are really catchy, too. Think Melvins (when they’re normal), Mudhoney, a bit of High On Fire & Motorhead. A whole lotta fun!
(((((1))))) Giant thudding riffs & drums, build-up to very fun & serious ROCKIN’ & LOUD tune.
((((2)))) Steady, mid-paced heavy boogie, vocals are like Mark Arm meets Gene Simmons circa: “God Of Thunder”
((((3)))) AC/DC-like riffs & a weird Buzz Osborne/Mark Arm/Gene Simmons hybrid in the vocals.
(((((4))))) Howling wind & church bell intro (metal cliché #665), slow & crushing Melvins/High Fire like riffing & drums
(((((5)))))) Fast & rippin’, right to the fuckin’ point!
(((((6))))) Super catchy vocals, mid-paced tempo, GREAT breakdowns.
((((7)))) Main riff sounds like early Dio (“Stand Up & Shout”) & the rest tears it up ‘ala Motorhead racing against Mudhoney.
(((((8))))) Sabbath-ish riffing, vocal phrasing hints at Maiden’s “Drifter”. Radness!
(((((9))))) Whole lotta thud, FAST & POUNDIN’ HEAVY ROCK action! Motorheadbangin’ worthy
