Funky goodness that’s subtitled “The Funky, Fuzzy Sounds of West Africa.” Early 1970’s psychedelic classics. Heavy doses of soul & jazz blended w/just a touch of Latin rhythms and Afro-funk drums. Plus great vocals. Crank it up and play it all. Damn fine. 1. Guitar, screaming vocals, percussion - a funk/soul romp. 2. A relaxed groove w/sexy-smooth keyboards. 3. Sax/organ/guitar & vocals in a strong funk jam. 4. Way cool use of marimba in an atmospheric instrumental groove. 5. Brass/keyboards/guitars/percussion/vocals. Very cool. 6. Cuban-influenced dance for horns/perc/vox. Great guitar break. 7. Great blend of bass/keyboards/vox in this funk anthem. 8. Yow! Crazy hot Afro-funk w/serious guitars. 9. Cool vocals in a laid-back, guitar-laden very cool thing. 10. A lazy, catchy blend of vocals & lots of percussion. Nice. 11. The notes call this “juju jazz.” It is. Jazzy blend of sax/vox/perc 12.
