ANIMAL COLLECTIVE W/ VASHTI BUNYAN • PROSPECT HUMMER (fat cat) One my favorite bands, Animal Collective give us another brilliant piece of freakyness. Freak-Folk, yes, Freak-Pop, yes. Avery Tare and Panda Bear are still dishing. This record weaves multilayed acoustic guitars, electronic wierdnes and the beautiful voice of the folk goddess Vashti Bunyan who seems to be making her way onto a lot of records these days. Open and free in arrangements. You can still catch AC’s pop brillant in places PLAY IT or DIE!!! ALL TRACKS ARE GREAT!!! - tHE bAWD oF euphony 1** (3:38) Vashti’s voice starts and layed acoustic guitar that sounds like crystallizes water falling from the sky weaves this song togther. Avery Tare’s vocals add that AC touch. Beautiful 2** (4:40) Enter the AC pop groove. Ac. Guitar loop and awesome rhythem track of beat and vocal samples. Vashti sings ontop. Warm and upbeat.
