Decca

She was born in Paris to Portuguese parents and adds a touch of the cafe to her Portuguese/Brazilian roots. She has a warm, gentle voice, nicely backed by acoustic guitar/accordion, perc/sax. It’s almost all slow, relaxed & sophisticated with an intimate, lightly jazzy feel. In Portuguese.

1. Downtempo, low-key & romantic. Sweet and pretty.
2. Light w/a nice lazy sway.
*3. A warm, relaxed bal musette-esque ballad.
*4. Sweet use of accordion & berimbau accent nicely.
5. Lazy w/a melodic folksong feeling.
*6. Faster. A bright & playful dance.
7. Slow & delicate. Almost like a lullaby.
8. Slow and sad.
9. Bright, more upbeat. Catchy vocal duet.
10. Warm & lazy love song w/nice jazz accents.
*11. Opens w/voices & perc, slow…picks up. Fun.
12. Pretty, lyrical. Simple. Slow & evocative.
13. Down/midtempo strings/vocals.
14. Alt. version of #7. I like 7 better.
15. Alt. version of #2.
