Slowish, tortured heavy rock like you’d expect from Unsane. Unfortunately this time they’re saddled with seriously weird production. Sometimes the vocals are waaay in the background other times kinda loud. Uneven production and overall, uneven songs. It’s just a little too basic in a lot of places and not quite punching you in the head like usual.
(((1))) Flatline sound, slow, wallopping riff & backbeat with the vocals about 50 miles away.
((2)) Good groove, but mostly uninspired
((3)) Twangy, low-down but again not quite hitting the mark.
((((4)))) Big, thick & ugly. Oddly reminds me of AC/DC & early Nazereth crossed with Unsane. Weird but fun.
(((5))) Diving down deep, big bass & sonar stun guitar. “We’re ALL fucked” take on 9/11.
(((6))) Sloowww, crawl, with pounding downward driving beat.
((((7)))) Classic Unsane bash & pummell sound with killer fast riff breakdown (FCCs “Fucking”, “Fucker” sung FOUR times but not always audible
((((8)))) Big ‘ol drum beat with super simple riff. Once again they get all Angus Young with the guitars and like Brian Johnson on 1800 packs of gigs in the vox.
(((9)) Angry LOUD & kinda twisted twangy blues pounding.
((((10)))) Awesome harmonics, bludgeoning bass, snarling vox, but drumming could be a little less ‘pingy’
(((11))) Minimal, distorted walls of despair & hate, repetitve & spiteful to the utmost.
