indie rock darling tackles a variety of European and American traditional and composed tunes as well as a couple originals. Mirah (on K records) usually does the delicate f vox thing w/ guitar and other rock instruments. Here she has the help of the Black Cat Orchestra (from Seattle). Lots of light drums, strings and acoustic guitar. Songs by Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Kurt Weill and Stephen Foster, among others. Some good stuff in here.
