Kick-ass, seriously powerful & pissed metallic hardcore (but NOT “metalcore”). This Canadian band has quite a pedigree with members of: Left For Dead, The Swarm, Ruination, and Acrid. This is a slower and rhythmic but just as potent as their previous bands. Lots of big riffs, snarled vocals and pounding beats. In the same ballpark as Tragedy, Converge, Cable. Hugely recommended!
(((((1))))) Drone, then moves upright into a GIANT apocalyptic riff then confrontational, desperate hardcore (FCC “Fuck” 3:40)
((((2)))) Great mix of fast & slow riffs, claustrophobic vocals. Nice & pummeling.
((((3)))) Uppity, mid-paced to fast (almost d-beat tempo). Great vocals.
((((4)))) Simple & very catchy approach.
((((((5)))))) Chunky riffage, a bit on the Converge crossed with Hammerhead style. AWESOME CHORUS.
((((6)))) Mellow, short intermission thingy. Similar to Slint
((((((7)))))) Heavy & brutal enough to cut the heads off of every metal-core poser at the local HotTopic.
((((8)))) Off-kilter riffs, like The Refused on meth? Rhythmic battering.
(((((9))))) Doom-tastic brilliance, creepy whispered vox, monster riffage.
(((((10)))) Fast & gut punchin’ hardcore wallop. Like (vocalist) Colohan’s previous band, Left for Dead. (FCC “fucking” 2:42-43)
(((11))) Strange sounds of rain & minimal film soundtrack-like ambience. Goes on a little too long.
