Virtuoso violins to energetic brass bands: transcending borders. a few facts: A small town hosts a "brassapalooza' with 300,000 brass heads attending. There were 30,000 musicians in the Romanian Army, people were thrown into labor camps for playing Rom or Turkish music in Bulgaria when the government was socialist.
