“Ancient traditions meet modern technology.” Yup, that about sums it up. A typically solid release from Putumayo, featuring a mix of established performers (Capercaillie, Sinead O’Connor) and newcomers (Cara Dillon, Gwenno). Good notes give lots of useful info on artists & songs.

1. Sleepy fem vox. Relaxed modern Celtic ballad.
