Big band jazz w/mucho horns & percussion and some great guest vocalists. Recorded live at the Allen Room at the new Jazz at Lincoln Center (watch for applause at end of tracks). It’s gorgeous, lush music, expertly played by masters of the Afro-Latin sound. If you want improvisations & raw energy, this is not it. Instead, it’s tightly arranged, true big-band music w/style and sophistication. It’s martini jazz, not tequila jazz. And it’s all so damned good…play it all.
