This Finnish/Norwegian string band returns with a fun and festive set of acoustic happiness. Taking traditional songs, adding a contemporary feel, and throwing in a touch of bluegrass and other elements, they deliver fresh and delicious instrumentals designed to bring some Nordic sunshine to your gray winter. Well played and wildly energetic throughout.

*1. A total “yee haw!” Fun, upbeat, bouncy. Whoa, a sax & trumpet!
*2. Another fun toe-tapper slows down and gets folksy, then picks up.
3. Nicely updated midtempo polska, quiet bits in the middle.
4. Driving, midtempo contemporary folk. Voices la-la at end.
5. Sweet, romantic, old-fashioned march. Really lovely.
*6. Snarly pipes uptempo waltz w/great strings. Very cool sound.
*7. Polka w/wicked fast strings! I mean hyper-caffeinated fast! Fast!
8. Starts quiet, relaxed, gets into a contemporary almost Celtic sound.
*9. Another wacky-fast dance w/a bluegrassy feel. Fun!
10. Evocative, nostalgic ballad. Lyrical and very pretty.
11. Folksy polska in praise of Sweden’s mountains. Nicely toe-tappin
*12. Stately, elegant funeral march. Passionate & powerful. Wow…
