The Bawd Of Euphony
Reviewed 2006-01-09
Creepy, aboriginal Free-folk that feels likes some lost ritual to some lost goddess. Simple bare percussion, acoustic guitars (free and melodic), chant-like vocals at times. Often reminds me of the vocal excellence of Cerberus Shoal & the free wanderings of Jackie-O-Motherfucker. Recorded & named eerily right before the New Orleans disaster. At times the sound is sunny and bright, at others dark and pagan. A very cool record with lots to choose from. -tHE bAWD oF eUPHONy
