Jazz guitar with a slightly twisted sense. Accessible stuff but with oddball modern composing and lost of quirks in the solos. It's got that relaxing jazz-guitar sound but throws it into a spiky, attitude-laden setting. The band is just a trio (with drums and acoustic bass) so the guitar gets plenty of time to stand out. And yes, it does swing at times. Intriguing and fun.

Btw, this is a local guy who uses his middle name because there have been multiple other "John Gordons" in music over the decades. He's not the same as any of them.

- Playful mid/fast, with a stiff marching beat. Lots of zingy small riffs and harmonics tossed around on guitar.
- Mid/fast syncopated theme, a bit cartoony, into more conventional guitar jazz
- Fast squiggly intro into some rockin' measures ... settles into a midtempo bluesy feel with continued guitar nervousness
- Maddening clock-tick drums under a quirky, heavy swing.
- Perky march
- Easygoing mid/fast, a bit swingy
- Sneaky groove riff with bright soloing; midtempo feel
- Rapid jazz groove. Bouncy and catchy.
- Wistful and even pretty. Midtempo.
