Upbeat funky stuff led by guitar -- Charlie Hunter on his trademark 8-string -- and sax from John Ellis. Lots of likeable melodies, interesting solos, and danceable backbeats.

Ellis also dabbles on wurlitzer (2) or melodia (7) for some variety. Fun stuff all around, maybe with a bigger variety of guitar sounds than previously? Seems there's more of a blues/rock feel here, a tougher edge than Hunter's earlier, organ-jazz-sounding CDs. Cool stuff.

1- Fuzzed out mid/fast
2- Midtempo, slowish bluesy feel, ... Wurlitzer and warbly guitar in midtempo, warmly bluesy setting
3- Mid/fast and bouncy, catchy
4- Slow tumbling, into a steady funky step. Midtempo feel.
5- Funky and light midtempo. Nice melody for the "chorus."
6- Snappy rock piece, like a gritty street scene. Mid/fast, bright
Stops very suddenly.
7- Mid/slow, a loping sense of humor.
8- The Experimental one, slow and avant-jazzy but pleasant
9- Happy Monk cover, mid/fast
