Scelsi, Giancinto Art Of Song New Albion

Experimental/Classical vocal composition sung by Marianne Schuppe. She has a strong, expressive voice and fantastic technique. The compositions are divorced from words. Instead the focus is strange phonetic sounds, microtones (a continuum of pitch like a trombone), dynamics, and above all, vocal timbre. FCC clean. TRACK TIMES ON BACK.

**(1-4) The voice is overdubbed, and the harmonies, vibrato, and harsh syllables add much (in)tenseness to disturbing effect. Probably the most emotional tracks, each track similar tho.
(5-9) Solo voice. Sounds more like a technical exploration of phonetic sounds and jumpy melodies especially 5,6,8. 7&9 i found bit more musical.
**(10-13) Solo voice. 10 - really loud and intense. 11 - measured with a range of sounds. 12 - low pitched moaning. 13 - variations on one syllable (Ha).
