An apt title for this disc, Fred is still going strong well into his seventies. Here he teams up again with fellow Chicagoans Harrison Bankhead and Hamid Drake for a great set of free bop. Excellent sax work as always, with fantastic rhythm section interplay between Drake and Bankhead.
1. Fast rolling start slows down to a wailing blues
2. Light bop
3. More intimate, with mellow frame drum accompaniment
4. Fast bop with a fired up rhythm section, switches gears to an exploratory sax solo midway through, then builds to the finale. 2 min of applause and introductions at the end.
