Nels Cline, Jermey Drake experimental guitar duo: guitar treatments that go from Derek Bailey prettiness to Lee Renaldo smothering noise within minutes, a song. Heavy treatments sound more like old analog synths than guitars, beautiful washes of noise, sublime. All recorded live at a recent performance. A very nice mix of noise and avante flavored prettiness.

1) sparse treated guitar, analog synth, spacey, trippy, after a few minutes turns very noisey with synth, guitar is gone (or at least the Bailey’esque is)
2) treated guitar is back, quiet sparse start, after ~4 minutes turns into beautiful noise wash
3) interesting guitar wails to start then an ebbing and flowing distortion wash and melodic pitch changed lines
4) very quiet sparse start, things start breaking loose after about 2 minutes, intense and cinematic, a nice dramatic variety of moods, noise, tones
