Rumpelstiltskin Grinder – Buried in the Front Yard…(Relapse)
Thrash metal. This is a good mix of old school 80s thrash and current heavier sounds like grindcore/death metal. The band is super tight; you can understand the vocals, silly and fun. Think bands like Kreator, Nuclear Assault, Ludichrist, and Municipal Waste.
**1. Listen to how tight the band is on this track. Pure headbanging thrash fun. Great breakdown. What the hell are they signing about?
2. FCC. Heavier and lyrics that make even less sense.
**3. Guitar sound reminds me a lot of RAMBO. Fun anthem about needing to bury dead bodies. Lots of different parts to the song.
4. Slow almost march to begin. Acoustic guitar that’s slightly Spanish sounding? Doesn’t ever speed up much. Odd track for sure. Spoken sung section.
5. One FCC. Speedy, silly thrasher that will have you headbanging. Pure silly metal! Catchy guitar riff, longer solo, and headbanging breakdown.
**6. Nice riff and even more amazing headbanging thrash. Melodic and catchy in parts. Leans slightly towards newer thrashy stuff like Lamb of God.
**7. Fast and relentless. Slight gallop.
8. Slow heavy march with very melodic chorus section.
Great stuff. -mph
