Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2006-06-17
Layered looped experimental along the lines of Kranky more than noise, a project from the brilliance of 3rd member, turn-table’ist, of Dalek. Most of this smacks of a modern day Eno/Music for Airports than your usual “challenging” noise. Hyponotic. Reminds me of: Eno, Budd, Menche, the Kranky label. Perfect soundbed if anything, or sound source to mix in with your beats.

1) organic layered feel, treated sounds via electronics, echoey, trippy, becomes more droney
2) trippy collage, artistic and more ambient than noise
3) sound collage, mostly ambient, chill
4) starts with low drone ambience, interesting layers, done well
5) looping ambience, hypnotic, pretty
6) pretty, hypnotic epic
