Bosola – Re:EP (Gecekondu)
Somewhere between prog rock and the agit sounds the Dog Faced Hermans. It’s rock, sometimes heavy, with each song going through many changes but doesn’t fall into the usual math rock pitfalls. It’s a bit more discordant without being metal.
**1. A wonderful marching rhythm, background discordant guitar with a trumpet that brings back memories of the Dog Faced Hermans. The catch is that it’s instrumental.
2. Heavier with a fairly odd bass sound, wonderful drumming and absolutely awful vocals.
3. Slow math rockish sound with a nice guitar sound. Arty vocals that aren’t as bad as track 2.
4. More of a noodle-y guitar riff. Doesn’t really let loose until the last minute.
**5. A full guitar sound, indie rock leanings, harmonics, could be From Monument to Masses.
