Deliciously sophisticated tango from a local band with talent to spare, lots of passion, and obvious love of the tango. The quartet consists of trombone, piano, accordion, and violin. The arrangements are tight and lyrical and the playing is first-rate. Most tracks are Argentine classics from the early-to-mid 20th century. All instrumentals except for tracks #6 & #19. This will make you want to learn to tango or, at the very least, fall in love. You can play any track and find a gem, but I liked these especially:

1. Strong, midtempo & lively w/expert playing.
2. Mid/downtempo w/a romantic, lyrical quality & hint of sadness.
4. Sweet, light café tango w/a bright lightly jazzy air.
6. Slow and lush with rich fem vox. Beautifully passionate.
8. Sweet, relaxed w/nicely brassy trombone work.
9. An all-around solid tango w/wonderful flourishes.
11. A hint of bal musette gives this a sweet, old-fashioned feel.
15. Midtempo, a sweetly romantic, almost waltz-like feeling.
16. Mid w/a great arrangement that gives everyone a chance to shine.
17. Driving w/a cool blend of passion and playfulness.
19. Crackly, male vox, slow. Like listening to radio in the 30s. Cool.
