Spoken word poetry over mathy dissonant ultra crunchy guitar duels. Like a post-rock Dirty Three/Sonic Youth backing up a Nick Cave book reading. Local band made of illuminati who at various times were part of Swans, Timco, Broken Horse, Tarnation, Toiling Midgets, etc etc. All songs “angular”, guitar tapestries of dissonance, complex tunings, seldom an entire measure of straight 4/4 beats to be found (but doesn’t come across like “math-rock”, just for sake of odd time signatures). Quality recording really captures the heat of Kevin Thompson and Joe Goldring’s guitar amp tubes (no bass), often chiming reminiscent of Branca/Sonic Youth harmonics. All songs are very similar, mostly evolving from a ¾ waltzy arpeggio, complex tuning. No point in a track by track, instead just highlights below (pick any, except 6):

2) a bit darker, more spacious, builds
4) some nice searing lead-work, feedback love
5) really pretty tunings/arpeggios
6) FCCs
7) Sonic Youthy chordal melodies
