Big church gospel, soul, lots of synth, recorded live with slick production, and well enunciated preaching. LJH crew, this is for you! For freethinkers such as myself, the big choir and solo belting out is enjoyable and the musicianship’s good (though it’s nearly impossible for me to turn off my dogmaometer or to ignore the voice in my head shouting “cheeze! cheeze! This is a big block of kraft cheeze you’re listening too! Not even real cheese- cheeze!”). The short spoken tracks seem ripe for sampling and recontextualizing eg “making a living on her back instead of cultivating her mind” (track 2)
