Fans of This Mortal Coil, Young Marble Giants DO NOT miss this one! Cinematic, dramatic. Spooky, lush, minimal, beautiful. Stripped down piano, synths, tasteful percussion and female vocals. Lots of instrumental tracks. Moments, shades of Cat Power, Faun Fables, Current 93, Danielle Dax here and there. Fantastic.
1) somber bass and piano instrumental
2) slow piano march, subtle electronics, pretty
3) spectacular: percussion is that of heels walking at a good pace down an empty hollow hall, quiet simple bass and vocals appear, beautiful
4) chill, blippy subtle percussion under pretty synth layers for 1st 2 minutes then a driving, urgent near techno motif briefly appears, very cinematic instrumental
5) quiet synth melodies, almost mid 80’s “new age”
6) piano, subtle electronics, nearly whispered vocs
7) another beautiful somber piano/vocal ballad, dark, brooding
8) dark instrumental
9) yet another beauty somber ballad, this time the piano/vocs are joined by minimal electronic melody
10) casio synthy feel, childlike narration vocs
11) slight experimental feel, found sound loops, almost wildlife/zoo sounds
12) very dark, sad, spooky, war, death theme, with dark acoustic guitar, very 4AD, almost Current 93 goth
13) urgent electro rock feel, still somber though
14) chill instrumental
15) electro instrumental
16) chill piano
17) pretty, simple guitar, vocs, electronic sounds, beautiful stuff
18) quiet, tape loop of noise with sparse piano, brief exit
