Noisy electro-punk borderline art-punk/electroclash with echo-y/reverb-y and gothy female vocals. Think the Vanishing, Love is All, Glass Candy meeting Suicide with touches of more straight-up garage-rock and electro-dance-y beats and influences. Cool sampling to boot! This album is a bit more accessible and geared toward the mainstream indie aesthetic as compared to LGL’s previous work. There are some rocking gems here;
So play them: 6, 4, 9, 8, 5 (FCCs: 3, 7)
4. Chaotic and loud; Morricone movie clips are sampled.
5. WTF? Is this OOIOO??? Sounds exactly like them!
6. Damn! This is incredibly catchy rock; enough sampling of animal sounds (elephants, etc) to give Josh an erection. This shit rawks!
8. Surfy! Rocks! Man or AstroMan meets electroclash.
9. Garage-y guitars and percussion with LGL’s signature uber weird/emetic-sounding male vocals.
