Live improvised instrumental tracks, utilizing traditional middle eastern instruments but with looping, treatements. Though this ended up in the “experimental” box via the “jazz” box at kzsu, it almost seems more appropriate in the world box. But alas, it is ultimately avante, doesn’t follow “standard” composition, instead tracks are layered and collage-like in places.

1) hornlike loud tones with crazy analog synths
2) loud calling reed, middle eastern instrument, sparse other than that
3) tabla rhythms enter, reed continues
4) flutelike instrument replaces loud reed instrument, drumming certainly more pensive, driving
5) mostly just the reed instrument playing long tones, subtle looping low tones, synth
6) subtle tabla rhythm, analog synth treatments, chill and trippy, nice mix of cultures
7) mostly just the reed, long blasts
8) tabla and flute-like instrument playing fast short passages, spastic, gets flanged
9) slower beat, treated tabla, long passages of reed instrument, melodic, midway turns almost “free-jazz” with spastic bursts
10) long hornlike calls with electronic treatments, very analog synth, dronier and noisier
11) a continuation of the previous without as much synth feel
