Droney spacey elegant ambient dreamscape pieces created from loops of tape and analog sources. Old school experimentalism. UK artist with a day job that Kranky appreciated. Nice that way. For fans of Eno, Hassell, Harold Budd, Lull, Alvin Lucier, Eliane Radigue. FCC clean. My picks: 2, 8, 11 1) droney spacey loopy chill long 2) lower tones, a bit more droney, obvious loops hypnotize 3) brief interlude, very chill 4) chill space is slightly more blippy with sparkley sounds 5) another chill brief interlude 6) static sounds along with deep bass pulses and ambient washes 7) another brief chill interlude 8) very serene droney and ambient, beautiful 9) brief interlude sounds more like extension of previous 10) somewhat environmental tone to this, water-like, reminds me of Eno’s “on land” , ends with bells 11) a pretty drone loops nice and slow, narcotic 12) brief “outer-lude”, ending, short loop, drone with static. | ||
