Christian R&B CD. FCC Clean. This is Jacque's first release. It is a laid back, smooth-sounding, jazzy set of mid-tempo grooves in the vein of established Christian artist Lisa McClendon(especially her first cd).The sound quality/production is ok. Songs are very similiar to one another (not much diversity in style or sound). The Christian message is strong. Overall the vocals are average. She does her own bgvs throughout the cd.My picks #2,6
1. Upbeat, mid-tempo, groove with good bass line and a salsa/latin feel. Nice guitar.
*2. Starts out acapella.Slow with driving beat with hard bass-line.
3.Classic R&B ballad sound and tempo.
4.Starts w/ alarm clock sound.Electronic keyboard sound throughout, mid-tempo.Repetitive.
5.Starts with phone dialing sound and operator voice.Short song.Strong bass line that carries the song.
*6.Nice acoustic guitar intro. and it carries throughout the whole song.
7.Starts with dramatic piano intro. and chorus. Another slow groove, with heavy bass line.
8.Instrumental interlude from song #7. Additional or more pronounced guitar.
9.Short song. Acapella. It's actually the intro. to song #10.
10.Ballad with more bass, keyboard.Slow and halting.
11.Starts with man speaking and then artist speaking as a nervous bride. The song is a coversation and dramatization of a bride speaking to Christ.
*12.Starts with bass line that carries throughout.Slight guitar in the background.Mid-tempo groove.
Overall, not a bad debut! - Kesha
