March Of The Parasite

New Swedish Metal band sounding like early 90’s U.S. Death Metal – with all all the brutality and riffage kept intact and next to no fancy melodic twiddling or any other unnecessary additives. These guys not only do the Death Metal thing right they also KILL when they play slow. Check out “Facing Earth” – killer death doom! Features Niklas Sundin of Dark Tranquility.

((((1)))) Werner Herzog sample into fast-ish chugging to blazing D.M.
((((2)))) A little more of a “groove” here but still rather heavy and punishing. Dense thick & riffs to keep you headbanging.
((((3)))) Rather nice yet rudimentary death/thrash with a slightly catchy chorus.
((((4))))) More thrashin’ death metal with some good breakdowns
(((5))) Schitzo? Shifts from slow winding riffs & some to blasting thrash. Confusing if anything but even this is really punishing towards the end.
((((6))))) And…another fast as hell, brutal attack this one seems faster than the previous two and even more intense.
((((7)))) Ugly and doomed D.M. ‘ala early My Dying Bride, Sorrow, Winter.
(((8))) Rhythmic and laden with clangy cymbals. Nothing too special but some nice riffs keep it afloat.
(((((9))))) Go for the throat death/thrash overkill. Torrents upon torrents of blast beats, raging riffs and even a pick slide.
(((((10)))))) DOOOM! Slow and rather heavy with some decent atmospherics underneath. Sits well next to bands like Unholy, Esoteric (UK) and Skepticism.
