Bled, Blight, And Rue

Quirky, parodying art pop/experimental music, sometimes psychedelic, using both sampling and a capella singing (mostly male). Great stuff! Each track (most are around 1 min long) is centered on an idea, which is mocking, by exaggeration, something - musical style, life, or anything. Something of the Frank Zappa here, but no FCCs.

2. Bluesy depression for male voices and acoustic guitar. Funny.

*4/3:17. Frank Zappa style male “a capella” accompanied by sampled percussion and flute.
*5. A short christmass-y carol, sung a capella, about ice-cream.
**6/6:03. Attraction – cool beat and jazzy bass. Man-woman dialogue, half spoken.
*7. A short rhythmic sample art track – chewing insect and chimes.
8. Short and quirky – a capella singing about courting with flowers.
9. Slow Blues – acoustic guitar and male vox.
10. A capella singing about a social reject.
*11/3:13. Bass and male vox joined by sampling bits. Nice and rhythmic.
*12. Cool and funny beat with throat noises (something between groaning and puking).
**13/2:56. Sort-of hip-hop. Male/female a capella-based beat and effects (and a drum machine), and singing about “you are what you eat”.
14/2:56. The plastic giant song. Spooky monster strings. Female background vox. Nice psych sampling art at the end.
