Big, raucous hard rock sound. Blends 70’s stadium boogie ‘ala Nazereth & Montrose, 80’s area rock like The Cult & Hanoi Rocks, 90’s Sub Pop and current era stoner rock like Clutch. Oddly enough it’s a concept album about the Ma Barker gang. Pretty fun stuff that makes it feel/sound like long lost band from the 80's. (((1))) Swampy, burnin’ , boogie ((2)) Swaggery but sorta almost likable, crotch-rock with a catchy chorus. A little TOO contrived though. ((((3)))) Basic, big dumb loud rawk but…hell, they’re trying hard and it’s pretty much workin’ maaan! ((4)) Soundgarden/Alice in Chains on shoots up Florida meth? Yeesh! Some ok riffs but the rest feels like “shitty opening act” ((5)) Total southern fried twang, ramble merged with polished faux-grunge rock – so much so it screams “KSJO: 1993”. ((6)) More of the same as last song except a bit faster and a closer to the late 80’s. (((7))) Pretty slick but also slithering around in the a enough dirt to keep it rockin’ & changed up that it doesn’t stay in sucksville. ((((8)))) “Nazereth gone down South”, big ass loud, super-rockin’ to add to your cheap beer, whiskey and pool balls a’ clangin’ together. ((9)) A little too redundant on the formulatic 80’s hard rock. ((((10)))) An actually rather good “radio-friendly” southern rock ballad. Plenty o’ twang & strum & well done vocals. (((((11))))) Really pretty country-slide/instrumental. Has almost “indie rock” feel to it. Out of place but very nice! |
