Ok this review is for the 7 inch but same holds true for this Demo CD...
----------------
AMAZING violin-driven post-punk from Portland, Oregon. Three ladies turn the clock back to the sound of the Raincoats and LiliPut (ca 1978) while carrying the torch of riot grrl past the Sleater Kinney age and into the current Mika Miko era. Infectious bass lines, a demonic punk violin coming through a guitar amp, and endless riot grrl vocal interplays with orgasmic tempo changes. This 33RPM 7 inch is absolutely brilliant.
Play B2, A2
A1. A Ritual: Violin-driven jumpy punker with heavy bass! Makes me po-go! For much better produced version of this gem, see 33 RPM 7 inch in studio A.
A2. Danger: LiliPut meets Sleater Kinney.
B1. Howl and Shout: Solid post-punk bass lines and call & response vocals
B2. Cut: FUCKING AMAZING! Powerful violin crescendos, riot grrrl vocals. Bikini Kill meets the Raincoats.
