Carnatic (South Indian) ragas for violin(s) performed by Lalgudi Jayaraman and his son Lalgudi Krishnan. The violin really is virtuosic and amazingly voicelike with shitloads of range. The percussion work is also great. A nice listen. All instrumental. FCC clean. Picks 4.
*1-8:57) Simple, beautiful, kind of breezy. First half is just violin. Then upbeat percussion enters. Last 5 sec. quiet.
*2-14:44) Slower, lamenting, lyric. First -7:25 percussion enter. Then two violins weave in and out.
*3-7:13) Sad melody, mid-slow tempo. Two violins and percussion at the beginning.
**4-30:05) Tour de force that starts walking-speed and slowly builds. Great percussion towards end.
