4 tracks garage-y, swaggery rawk tracks from Kat Bjelland. (“Bee’yellin’d”). Kat is the former guitarist and frontwoman of the awesome 90’s band – Babes In Toyland. This has 3 versions of “Heart On” and a “woulda never guesed it” Iron Maiden cover. She’s paired up with her husband Adrian on drums and some unknown bassist. Like Babes’ music – she’s still screaming her head off and on the 6 string which we can all be thankful for. (((((1))))) Swaggery, garage-y rawk, basic beat and some rad riffing & screaming toward the end. (((2))) Weird and takes awhile to “get” but it’s a feedback and screamy cover of Iron Maiden’s “Run To The Hills”. Some points for putting a lot of “oomph” in the vocals. ((((3)))) Off-kilter, modern beat and some nice guitar fuzz. Distorted, screamy vocals. (((4))) Focused on the vocals & digitial splatter. More bass and breaks and even cowbell!? | ||
