This Quebec-based trio features string-based instrumental jazz (violin, cello, contrabass) plus some cool percussion. Their sound is reminiscent of Kronos Quartet and the result is lyrical, almost chamber-like, but quietly adventurous with some worldly accents. The arrangements are tight, the interplays creative and the music is sophisticated and modern.

*1. Relaxed w/a vaguely Arabic flair. Light percussion too.
*2. Midtempo w/wordless vocals accenting the perc.
3. Slow w/a hint of the Baroque. Short but lovely.
*4. Latin-flavored percussion guides this dreamy, midtempo sway.
5. Down/midtempo. Restrained passion under the surface.
*6. Uptempo, driving beat & the strings bounce off each other.
7. Slow, spare, deceptively simple. The cello goes wandering.
8. Slow, then mid. Good use of perc to echo the strings.
9. Downtempo, like a slow Jewish folk dance.
10. Upbeat perc solo into fast strings, a whirling sound.
*11. Slow, vaguely sad w/a quiet sort of power. Moving.
