Reaction, The -- The Reaction Reviewed by Witz

Straightforward garage punk. There is nothing tricky or astounding about this SF garage punk band. They play straightforward, energetic punk songs. This isn't a bad thing as the result is an album of grungy punk that is easily accessible, however, the second half is almost entirely instrumental, but it's tough to tell if that's because it's supposed to be or because they never laid down vocals. FCC CLEAN.

1) Sounds like The Ramones. Really. Like a lot. (2:22)
2) Grungey and plodding. (2:51)
*3) Quick and bouncy 70's punk. (1:21)
**4) Slower paced distortion and crashes. Builds nicely. (3:29)
5) Instrumental-- starts slow with a ska/reggae bounce and moves to more. (2:25)
6) Instrumental-- Fast paced. (2:10)
7) Mostly instrumental -- Fast, punk, high pitched vocals. (2:05)
8) Instrumental 70's punk (3:29)
9) Instrumental 70's punk with one or two shouts. (3:46)
