Kick-ass treatments, looped and swirled sound and noisescapes from member of Black Dice and Terrestial Tones. This sounds like appropriated sources, like a single melody, a southeast asian festival, pan flutes, name it, but looped and treated in ways that they take on entirely different realities (and not in a trite “oh wow” fashion). Excellent trippy hypnotic stuff. 1) looping, shimmering feel, hypnotic 2) world feel, treatment of tribal/traditional music 3) looped echo’ed bass bowed melodies 4) treated wash of sounds, used to be music melodic pop of sorts, echo’ey and looped 5) looped chant (?) 6) again, looped Thai (?) traditional feel 7) rhythmic tones, devolve into a vocal quality 8) higher pitched melodic 9) quiet start, heavily shimmered tones (voices?) 10) brief, heavily distorted bass-line 11) pan flutes (?), treated and trippy 12) near video game quality in start, cool sci-fi electro weirdness | ||
