Primal, epic black metal from Olympia, WA. This is the ’06 album. A pretty stunning release once you give it the proper amount of time to sink in. While they don’t necessarily sound like Agalloch, Dissection or Drudkh they do possess the epic nature of those three. The primal style of the vocals and guitars on these 4 tracks make for a good soundtrack to reading manifestos about leaving civilization behind. Also of note are the guest vocals from Jamie of Hammers Of Misfortune and Dino of Asunder.

(((((1))))) (FCC “fucking” 11:04) Awesome! Big, stormy with several melodic breakdowns. A mix of the old epic BM with some lurching doom breakdowns.
((((2)))) Tremelo riffing, mixed with sputtering cymbal heavy drums, nice soaring female vox, stirring riffs and screamy male vox.
(((((3))))) A cacophony bursting with ultra-fast guitars and blasting drums. Later moves into a battle between melodic passages vs. raw BM & death/doom.
(((((4))))) Killer riffs, some acoustic bits incinerating in a fire of blackened yet melodious rage. The last 5 minutes are a pure headbanging joy!
