Great mostly acoustic folk from the Manchester (UK) artist named Rick Tomlinson. Tomlinson’s worked with Super Furry Animals' singer Gruff Rhys and DJ Andy Votel among others. Very compelling stuff that ranges from straight ahead guitar strums to raga-like pieces to folk songs. Works well next to Jack Rose, John Fahey, Alan Bishop and the like.
(((((1))))) Quietly played chords eventually turns into a very nice mid-paced acoustic gallop.
(((((2))))) 7-8 note patterned guitar raga with a few interesting detours.
(((((3))))) Percussive, repetitive raga, some interesting tones twists into a killer electric 60’s psych jam
((((4)))) Mellow, acoustic folk with mellow vocals.
(((5))) “Stairway to Heaven’s” solo played backwards with Tomlinson’s acoustic strumming over it. Makes it actually sort of enjoyable, oddly enough.
((((6)))) Ramblin vs. randomly plucked chords, strumming and running along nicely.
(((7))) Odd warbling, psych guitar noise thing. Sounds like freeform radio at 4am.
((((8)))) Steady, acoustic psych with a continue fast groove. Like “unplugged” version of Neu?
((((9)))) Sparse with a nice flow of chords and tone. Turn this one up ‘cause it really is sparse.
((((10)))) Hazy & chilled acoustic/psych folk w/vox Rather pleasant.
