This local band plays stylish, sophisticated tangos w/flair and polish. A mix of tango standards and new compositions. At times they have a Cirque du Soliel-style creative theatricality and edge, at others there’re achingly romantic. All instrumentals, except for #7. One star each track.

1. An oom-pah, brass-driven circus- like tango. Too short.
2. Slower, w/a dark air. Dramatic & cinematic, w/a hint of Paris café.
3.Classic Piazzolla. Starts up, slows way down. Fluid w/drama.
4. Sweet, old-fashioned gavotte theme by Prokfiev.
5. Dark and free-form. Starts up, slows down, w/a halting tempo.
6. Slow piano, warm trombone, strings/accordion. Evocative.
7. Lyrical, w/male vocals. Downtempo, romantic, lush.
8. Sweet strings on a classically passionate tango.
9. Contemporary tango w/a jazzy flair & great energy.
10. Slow w/a theatrical kind of emotion. Very pretty.
11. Sweet, romantic and almost light w/some good piano work.
12. Delicate piano/horn for 1 min. Gradually builds in drama/tempo.
13. Honky-tonk piano tango then brassy. Sweet & kinda dirty.
