We Versus The Shark -- EP of Bees EP Reviewed by Witz

Thrashy dance punk. Hailing from Athens, GA, this quartet thrashes, screams, and synths its way to melody. Somehow it all comes together and makes the EP an interesting and enjoyable listen. There are obvious cues from Fugazi, At the Drive-In, and even more recently bands like Minus the Bear. It's thrashy, it's punky, it's danceable after enough drinks. There's also a DVD enclosed with the great and self-conscious title, "We Wanted a New Government Not Odd Time Signatures." FCC CLEAN (Radio Edit Version)

1) Thrashy male vocals and guitar. Fragmented and sharply turning. (3:08)
*2) Female vocals, more major chords, still twisting and writhing, but more organized chaos. (3:59)
3) Minimalistic intro, adds as goes, scattered, but dance-y at times. (3:13)
4) Scrappy, thrashy, mixed male/female vocals. At times poppy and dance-rock, at times barely keeping a tune. All over the place. (5:36)
